Sign tutorial>> Super easy but pay attention dang it!!!
Gardners to Bergers Gives a great tutorial on getting intricate images from the computer to transfer onto wood or a number of things I am sure. She says it's a little tricky so follow the directions exactly or the image may not transfer! The technique deals with two of my favorites sand paper and decopodge

Kitchen Organization for a small space
I am moving into a tiny little kitchen so every little space counts. Harbour Breeze has her grandmother's beautiful crotched linens placed in this primitive wire basket. As for me I think it would be a great idea for kitchen wash clothes or hand towels.

Nursery Room Idea
If you love the idea of this alphabet wall Go Check out TheRedPolkaDot for free Alphabet Printables.
Love this super cute children's step up from a nursery room. The floating book shelves on the walls are most likely done from Ana-White. If you aren't feeling like dealing with building anything, I used rain gutters that I screwed to the studs for my little boys room. Worked like a charm.
I really love all of the color on a the neutral pallet, and my kids loved having all of their books displayed and that they were easy to put away.
Here is the other side of the room, SO BEAUTIFUL!!!

Stripped Wood Flooring
I wish I knew who to give credit to for this beautiful design. I am focusing on the floor as you can tell from the post title. It's probably not a real wood floor but I love the idea of the stripes. Imagine the room without it, with gives it an added layer of interest.

Thomas the Tank Party ideas
I just threw a thomas party for my little boy. So I did a lot of digging to find good ideas. A lot of them didn't get used because of how I forget that this small town doesn't carry much and I shopped last minute. But I thought I would share the ideas here.
One was to get inexpensive painters hats and draw stripes on them to make conductors hats. I was planning on having the kids decorate them as there parents dropped them off.
Play don't eat THOMAS! Played this with a card that had a bunch of Thomas photo's on it like a bingo card. Then we would place an M&M on each square. The objective is for the child to eat all of the M&M's before they find Thomas. When they go to eat the M&M which you have selected to be Thomas everyone yells DON"T EAT THOMAS, and then it's the next child's turn.
Use boxes to make into train cars, even have the kids decorate there own train car. Give them popcorn and throw in a Thomas DVD and they can watch Thomas while in there cool train box cars.
Do a bike parade and have the kids decorate there bikes. Then have them line up like a train and show off all they have done.

Zebra wedding Cake
So fun for the bride a little on the wild side. I think it could be so pretty with a bling cake topper Monogram

Black Ceiling Living Room
Needed a little inspiration for some black ceilings. Love the high gloss of this ceiling and the drama of the space.

Spring Centerpieces
Love this one, not to mention they are using some of my favorite flowers. HG gave a little trick on how to get those darn lemon slices to stay up. It's a matter of using two different vases, one smaller than the other obviously.
Manzanita Branches used (encase you were wondering). I also love the bowl full of blue eggs

candy land party theme inspiration picture
Yeah that little girl is having a good time. I have no idea how they got the lollipops to stand up but they are balloons, plastic wrap and pbc pipe. It looks like the candies on the wall may be Frisbee's
Pottery Barn Kids room Idea
Loved the idea of blowing up a picture and placing it in separate frames. Interestingly enough the red wall stripes don't look painted on at all. Chances are it's vinyl. I bet the same look could be done on the cheap with wallpaper (depending on where you find it) or just red wrapping paper.

Craft room or Hair Salon Decor
Found this beautifully decorated room over at HGTV's Rate My Space. I think the huge scissors are the perfect decor for an in home beauty salon or as you see above a craft space.
On a totally different note. I am what my sister calls Persnickety. I've known it for years she just finally put a very defining word to it. So if I can have my moment. Let me just first say that I liked this room so much to have it on this blog, but REALLLLLYYYYY you couldn't move the trash can or at least empty it!!! Okay I'm done.....thanks for letting me have my moment.

Wallpaper
Fell in love with this nursery the minute I saw it. The Hubbs says absolutely NO WALLPAPER! But how can one resist. This is so magical, wall vinyl of that size would be a little unmanageable, at least in my mind. So what do you think is it worth it?
